Our Repairmen

Pat Thomas is a
professional Luthier who has been with Musicians 1 Stop for
about 1 1/2 years. He attended Luthiers International in Georgia
and graduated in September of 2002. Pat has over 13 years of
experience working on string instruments. When I asked Pat to
tell me about his experience he said "well, at one time I
thought I knew what I was doing, then I went to school and found
out everything I was doing was wrong!" Anyone who has had
the opportunity to see some of his work would agree he is one of
the best around.

John Dix has been
with Musicians 1 Stop almost since the beginning! He started his
career in 1966 with Ericksons Music, then went to work for Coyle
Music in 1981. After leaving Coyle in 1995, he worked for
Colonial Music until 1999 when he and his wife decided to move
to North Carolina. They returned to Ohio in 2006 and he started
with us in 2008. John has vast experience repairing brass,
woodwind and orchestra instruments. When I asked John how he got
started in the repair business he said and I quote "I fixed a
harp for Moses once". I think John's experience speaks for
it's self, he is one of the best in the area, if not the whole
state.

Brad Mosher is the
newest addition to the company. He has over 30 yrs. experience
as an Electronics Service Technician and has worked for Marion
Music, Advanced Audio and a Security & Telephone
Instillation/Service business. Brad specializes in tube type
equipment repair and restoration and enjoys repairing and
restoring vintage equipment. So, you know that old tube amp you
have sitting in the closet? Bring it in, Brad can fix it! In
addition to repair Brad also does sound system evaluation and
consultation.
